I have somehow become the choreographer for New Scotland's summer trip, so I'm going to be kept busy. It's a) a job I didn't think I would get another chance to do, because the last trip was such a mess, and b) a job I didn't think I would take on again, because the last time nearly drove me crazy. But I really enjoy the teaching side of it, and quite like the programme planning side of it, and they seem to want me, and I came round to the idea in the end...
I have been spending more book tokens - Teach Yourself Catalan (I don't know if I will, but I know a bit of French and Spanish, and I thought it would be interesting to have), and the Rough Guide to Spain (for adventure purposes).
The intermediate class danced The Collingwood Oaks on Tuesday, and seemed to like it. According to Rems (who thinks it would make a good competition technique dance, and wasn't sure if I would consider this a compliment) 'it flows lovely, has nice figures, enough setting and a few bits where phrasing is important - and if done well looks really really nice' :)
There's going to be a new book of Dunedin dances, hopefully. Which is good, because there are a few dances around with nowhere to go.
I met percible on the bus this morning. And in the street a while ago. We should really meet properly at some point!
I have my Waverley tickets! Still no ILA 200, though.
I unexpectedly found £40 in my jacket pocket. Not quite as mysterious as when I once found £100 in the top of my rucksack, but I still don't know where it came from.
The end of term is in sight, and everything has gone deceptively quiet before it goes busy again.
